N2 Dreams Away From Nightmares

It's always hard to classify my art on deviant art. One part art two parts illustration three parts WTF is pretty much the mix. They really don't have a category for it yet. I just call it contemporary.

I try to tell a story or present an idea with my pieces that is obvious and easy to understand. It panders to the audience. My hope is that works like this operate on some deeper level, to make a viewer think about ideas and influences that made this and many other images possible. paintings built by paintings art video games movies music media. That post modern idea of new now next, there is only regurgatation. The artist is the sponge and the shape of said conduit is the variable on the outcome. Does it make sense? I don't mean to sound frivolous or pretentious. I just hate to think of my own work as being shallow. Am I convincing you or myself? IDK Eff it!
